DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE DIRECTOR'S SUITE/VCT CONFERENCE
This project required the collective design of three distinct business functions, including a director’s suite, open office support area, and a high-end VTC room. Through the use of hierarchical adjacencies each program part was planned with careful consideration to internal and external interaction, as well as physical respect for mission functions. The director’s suite required specific attention to neighboring department activities by allowing the conference room to serve as an inter-organization crisis management forum. Above standard design features were assigned to particular spatial allocations, but subtle material details were integrated throughout the entire area of work, thereby creating aesthetic synergy for all occupants.
